Kate Middleton and Prince Williams New Baby Is Here! Take a Break From Name Guessing With Their Best Ever Quotes

A HUGE congratulations to the happy couple and now parents-of-3, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, or rather, as we all know and love them, Will and Kate!

They welcomed their baby boy on Monday morning, the 23rd April 2018 at 11.01am, weighing 8lbs and 7oz.

As we await the announcement of the baby boys name, some clever people in media have aptly dubbed him, "Cutie The Third" - I LOVE IT!

To celebrate, and also distract ourselves from the name guessing game, here are some of the couples cutest, funniest and most insightful quotes about their relationship and parenting.

Talking about how they first got together.. William: "We obviously met at university - at St Andrews, we were friends for over a year first and it just sort of blossomed from then on. We just spent more time with each other had a good giggle, had lots of fun and realised we shared the same interests and just had a really good time. She's got a really naughty sense of humour, which kind of helps me because I've got a really dry sense of humour, so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh and then things happened." Kate: "Well I actually think I went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off, feeling very shy about meeting you. Actually, William wasn't there for quite a bit of the time initially, he wasn't there for Freshers Week, so it did take a bit of time for us to get to know each other but we did become very close friends from quite early on."

William: "Obviously we both have a very fun time together, both have a very good sense of humour about things, we're down to earth, we take the mickey out of each other a lot, and she's got plenty of habits that make me laugh that I tease her about." Kate said: "You know, over the years William has looked after me, he's treated me very well – as the loving boyfriend he is, he is very supportive of me through the good times and also through the bad times."

I love how they're always teasing each other... When Kate debuted a bright yellow dress, she told an Australian woman "William said I look like a banana!"

On their enagement Interviewer: It has to be said, you both look incredibly happy and relaxed. William: We are. We're like sort of ducks, very calm on the surface with little feet going under the water. It's been really exciting. We've been talking about it for a long time so for us, it's a real relief and it's really nice to be able to tell everybody. Especially for the last two or three weeks it's been quite difficult not telling anyone, keeping it to ourselves for reasons we had to. And it's really nice to finally be able to share it with everyone. Interviewer: You obviously had kept it a secret. Did you ask Kate's dad and what did he say and what did your respective parents say when you told them? William: Well, I was torn between asking Kate's dad first and then the realisation that he might actually say 'no' dawned upon me. So I thought if I ask Kate first then he can't really say no. So I did it that way round. I managed to speak to Mike soon after it happened really and then it sort of happened from there.

In Auckland, Kate and Will took part in a friendly boat race, although it sounds like Kate is as competeitve as me, taking it very seriously, and winning every one!   According to the professionals on Will's team   "When Kate won both of the races, he just said, 'At least she'll be happy.'" And when he was told that yes, she was indeed happy, he joked: "I bet she is! Selfless husband! I wanted a quiet night."

William: "Catherine and I are clear that we want both George and Charlotte to grow up feeling able to talk about their emotions and feelings Over the past year we have visited a number of schools together where we have been amazed listening to children talk about some quite difficult subjects in a clear and emotionally articulate way, something most adults would struggle with."

Kate: "My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect, and honesty, and I realise how central values like these have been to me throughout my life. That is why William and I want to teach our little children, George and Charlotte just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view it is just as important as excelling at maths or sport."

On motherhood "It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love, and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight. You go from thinking of yourself as primarily an individual, to suddenly being a mother, first and foremost."
