Real Wedding: Aimme & Leon's Wedding Day at Elixir, Ibiza
Aimme and Leon married last June at the gorgeous wedding venue Elixir Shore Club, which is one of the most popular wedding locations on the island - and for lots of good reasons!
The ceremonies take place on a large terrace which is easily transformed with decoration to suit every couples style, theme, colour scheme and floral arrangements. Elixir have a team of caterers and decorators, so you can arrange almost everything in-house via their own wedding planner.
Plus, the view is beautiful.
(And wait until you see the secret path leading down to the beach… )
A&L took advantage of the venues and locations natural beauty by keeping their decoration minimilstic and classy. White roses and eucalyptus leaves decorated the ceremony area and tables, and pink and rose gold detailing on the stationary.
A&L booked the Classic ceremony package and customised their ceremony with music, readings and their vows and ring exchange wording, making it completely unique to them and reflective of their style and personalities.
Aimme was accompanied down the aisle by her Dad, and just look at the pure adoration on Leon’s face when he saw Aimme for the first time. <3
Then this gorgeous moment between Leon and Aimme’s Dad is one which speaks a thousand words.
On Your Wedding Day, read by Hannah
Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone's life
You'll start off the day just two people in love
And end it as husband and wife.
It's a brand new beginning, the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although they'll be times when you both disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure
You'll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of true love lies unbroken
So live happy forever as lovers and friends
It's the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moment you whisper ‘I do'
And with luck all your hopes and your dreams can be real
May success find its way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts.
Marriage, read by Jonnie
A Marriage is a promise that two hearts gladly make.
A promise to be tender, to help, to give and take.
A marriage is a promise to be kind and understanding.
To be thoughtful and considerate, fair and undemanding.
A marriage is a promise to share one life together.
A love filled promise meant to be kept lovingly forever.
Vows & Ring Exchange
The vows A&L chose were traditional but with a slightly modernised style to the wording.
They repeated each line after me, promising to stay by each other sides forever, no matter the circumstances.
Their Ring Bearer and Best Man, Matty, brought up the rings to A&L, and they exchanged rings as a physical reminder of the promises they had made.
The Announcement & Kiss
In the lead up to the big day, Aimme had sent me a photo of their table decorations so that I could custom design a symbolic wedding certificate for them, matching their peach and rose gold theme.
After A&L exchanged vows and rings we asked for their Mums, Debbie and Sam, to come up and join us, to sign as witnesses of the ceremony.
After they signed, the guests were invited to take photos for a moment, before the big announcement….
… which was of course, to announce their new status as Mr & Mrs!
A Thousand Years by The Piano Guys played for Aimme’s arrival with her father.
The symbolic certificate signing was accompanied by Loving You by Minnie Riperton.
And A&L walked out together after their first kiss as a married couple, to You’ve Got the Love by Florence and The Machine.
After the ceremony…
Everyone mingled on the terrace with celebratory drinks and posed for photos - which are some of the most stylish I’ve ever seen! Can someone give these two a modelling contract please?!
The guests moved over to the dining area where they were served a tapas style menu, catered by the Elixir team, and later moved inside to dance the evening away. I just can’t get enough of how happy every single person looks.
And remember earlier when I mentioned that secret path?
Leon and Aimme snuck off just as the sun was about to go into hiding for the evening.
They were accompanied by their photographer Matt, who took the most perfect, epic, magazine worthy shots of them.
Congratulations on the most beautiful, emotional and happy wedding day, Aimme & Leon! Xxx
