Last week I met with the lovely Events Director at Cala Bassa Beach Club - or CBbC - a famous Ibiza beachfront restaurant, chiringuito and wedding venue.
Cala Bassa is a stunning beach on the West coast of Ibiza, with a long stretch of soft white sand and bright blue water (even in November - see below!), and dramatic cliffs with panoramic sea views where you can look down on huge yachts and over to the hills of San Antonio.
CBbC itself is a large venue with a fine dining restaurant where wedding parties are held, and as well as their outstanding menu, the sand beneath your feet, trees providing you with shade while you eat, and the sound of the sea creates a remarkably Mediterranean experience!
The most amazing aspect though is that they have their own PRIVATE land on the cliff edge close by to hold ceremonies on.
This is an important detail to note as it means that there is no access to members of the public, something which is tricky to come by with cliff ceremonies due to the majority of it being public land. So, you can enjoy your own cliffside wedding ceremony with your friends and family, without the fear of passers-by sneaking a watch, or having them remembered forever due to their presence in the background of your wedding photos!
The sun sets on the west of the island too, so although you don't see the sunset directly, evening ceremonies will boast a colourful display in the sky as a backdrop - while happily avoiding squinty eyes! Or if you're already enjoying the evening down in the restaurant, you'll be eating and partying with the magical scene of oranges and reds up above, and reflecting off of the glassy sea.
If you would like more information about this venue and location, or want to find out about the wedding packages available at CBbC, or would like to renew your vows on a private cliff edge, please email me and I will send you their package info and provide an introduction with the Events Director. :)
The photos below are of spring time dog walk, and a rather suddenly chilly winter afternoon last Thursday. (Unfortunately, I was too busy to visit in the height of summer - but Google maps has hundreds of photos of the restaurant, beach and views!)
Happy wedding planning! Xx
Spring vs. Winter... Still so blue!
